I just had a bimini installed on my Hunter 33.5. When the bimini is folded back against the (split) backstay, there seems to be considerable chafe between the bimini and the backstay, as the backstay "moves around" more than the bimini and its frame (when folded). Have any Hunter owners experienced this problem, and what's the solutiion?

buy shroud covers

They sell them at WM or Boat/US. Cost a few dollars each. Come in 6ft. lengths. Friend had same chafe problem, put the shroud covers on the split backstay, no more abraison. Roc

Patches on 35.5

My 35.5 had that same problem and the previous owner had added leather chafe patches to the cover. Worked great!
