Can anyone inform me about a Hunter 25 1976 bilge wiring. My 25 has a green, red and black wire for the bilge. My bilge pump has a brown striped, black and a brown wire. I can get the bilge to work manually but not automatically. Any help appreciated, thanks.

Bilge

I just put a new Rule mate 1100 in, the wiring instructions are confusing and mine required a seperate switch. for auto and manual.

Experiment.

Did the pump not come with wiring instructions? Maybe you could sneak a look at West Marine. Or do a Google search. The black is obviously the ground wire. One of the other wires goes to the panel switch for manual operation. The remaining wire goes directly to a battery, usually from the back of the battery switch. This wire is always hot so that anytime the float switch comes up the pump will come on. I am not familiar with the H25 wiring, maybe your bilge does not have the "hot" wire. It is easily installed.

what Ed said

I agree with Ed. When you say manually, do you mean with a breaker switch? Have you checked the automatic circuit for a blown fuse and have you checked the float switch for continuity when the float is raised?
