Bilge Sump

I have a 1984 27' Hunter. The picture (attached) shows my Bilge.
The drain hose is from my ice box. My question is, how did Hunter
expect people to get water out of the sump that is below the floor
of the Bilge. I get water in their when it rains (must be coming in
from the toe rail). Was the design intent to have to manually pump
this out?

They only built it to sell it, not use it! :doh:

On my H-33 what I did was get a plastic paint mixing tub with a snap on lid that would fit in the bilge and lengthened the drain hose by sliding a smaller hose in the existing one and attaching it to a PVC elbow I put in the paint tub lid. Then it was an simple job to remove the lid and dump the tub over the side.

True Value hardware has everything you need for about $10.00
