Our 1992 33.5 was delivered with only an electric bilge pump. I would feel more secure with a back-up manual pump. I have not been successful in determining the appropriate routing for the plumbing and the pump itself. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

What I did.

My '88 Legend 37 didn't come with a manual pump either. So what I did was to purchase a manual pump and mount it to a plywood base. I also have enough hose to reach the bilge area from the top of the companionway so that I can pump into the cockpit in an emergency. I store the manual pump in an accessible location for if it is needed.

Manual Pump

I mounted a manual pump on my '92 33.5. Intake is at the forward bilge well and the hose is routed below the forward sink and underneath the port side setee, rear bunk and engine compartment. Outlet is from starboard wing locker. Pump is located in cockpit locker. It was a very expensive to install but works well. Good luck
