Hope this is not a dumb question but since I am a newbie I will ask anyway. On the mac26x sales brochure I do not see any mention of a bilge pump,is this something that this type boat does not need?
Stewart.......Any boat needs two bilge pumps for emergency andwater collection in the bilge. One portable manual type and an automatic 12V pump.I installed an automatic bilge pump under the cooler(hull low point). This will take care of rainwater/spray collection. I routed the outletthrough the toilet wall, 18" above water line.Install a ball valve shut-off for safety on ANYthru-hull fitting.keep a clean bilge!.......dan
I'm also a newbie Mac owner. Your ? is a good one. If you get an answer, please forward it and let me know also. By the way, I'm thinking of leaving my Mac 26 in a wet slip for extended periods of time; do you know of, or heard of any problems with leakage of the balast seal that may cause flooding of the boat?
