I have a 1987 O'Day 322 which has developed several leaks in the hose that leads from the electric bilge pump to the transom outlet. I need to replace the hose. Problem is that the hose, white plastic 3/4-inch diameter with ribs and molded in connectors that can be cut every foot or so, goes into a hole under the battery area and then comes out into view in the engine compartment just aft of the companionway steps. I have no idea what is under the battery area and have no way of knowing if the hose is clamped anywhere or has to be fed through other holes. I am a little scared to cut out the battery shelf because the battery cables go under it and I don't want to take a chance of cutting them. Has anyone done this repair and, if so, how did it go and can you offer me any advice. Thanks in advance.
