In my '78 Catalina 30, the bilge pump hose snakes around the engine, and runs under the the port lazarette toward the transom. Checking for possible leak in the old corrugated bilge hose, I was dismayed to see that no visual inspection is possible at the transom end, since the back compartment floor is glassed over. Is this common, or has some previous owner glasssed over the compartment floor himself?
