bilge pump for 22

We recently experienced Ernesto in Urbanna. Our 22 came through relatively unscathed but had about 2" of water in the cabin and about 1" in the starbord battery area. Consequetly I purchased a bilge pump. Question is where do I send the outtake hose. We have old style skuppers - no thru hull fittings. Thanks for the advice!

My 22 came with a pump and the thru hull is in the transom, port side, next to the motor mount.

22 Bilge Outlet

Mike: I've had an electric bilge pump in my C22 for about 7 years and have never had to use it. So I'm happy with the way I merely installed a connected outlet hose in the bilge which if necessary could be led by hand up and into the cockpit through the cabin entry. In the cockpit water would then drain out through the scuppers. Dick
