bilge pump cockpit handle

I purchased an '88 Pearson 31 last year. It was missing the bilge pump handle for the cockpit. I've not had any luck finding a replacement. Anyone have any ideas or information?

Measure the hole and buy some thick walled tubing at Home Depot.

i use a broom stick (or similar). Actually, the gear shift handle works, too

I have a 30 year old sailboat. I made an extra pump handle out of 9/16" dowel rod. The fit is perfect. I also work in boat supply store and I make this suggestion to customers who come looking for the exact same replacement handle. Having two of these on board can be nice... one in a cockpit locker, one in a drawer below.
