Our HV'36 does not have any of that Alum. trim! Our '85 H'31 did not either.

As an owner of a Hunter 33 Cherubini, Jorge does in fact does, or at least should have the "T" shaped aluminum extrusion that supports the bilge cover sole plate. I have never found, nor has anyone to my recollection posted having found a replacement for that material.

Yes, mine is a '82 Hunter 33 and it does have
In fact there are 2 pieces, one is almost square, and the other stats at the black metal post and it ends up by the galley sink; at one time it had a trim around both pieces
I have a large piece of it, but would like to replace all
I will be keeping a beady eye on this forum in the hope someone will suggest where to get it
I still cannot figure out how to put pictures here, but I barely can use a computer!
Thanks to all

Jorge: Check out some other boats and see how they have done away with this trim. You can screw some cleats around the bottom of the openings to support the removeable sections. Be sure to seal the back side of your cabin sole with epoxy or some other sealer when you do the rebuild.

aluminum alternative

I recently re-did the sole on my Hunter 34 and look extensively for the trim you speak of. I could not find any either. What I ended up doing was getting some teak trim which was 1/2 " wide and 1/4" high and framed it much like casing for a door. The floor did not have trim before so it looked out of place but good.

Jorge, it seems to me you could have someone fabricate something out of aluminum I-beam that would fit perfectly and ultimately be a lot cheaper than if you actually found something made by or for Hunter. This would be a very very low volume item, and the price would have to reflect that. On the other hand if you took some pictures of a fabricator, in these times you could get something very serviceable made for a song. Well, maybe an aria.
