Thanks...( I said that I liked the "Oldies")......actually I'm getting old  !!

1013 has a lot of "implied harmony" written by either J.S. or his more progressive son C.P.E.

Your guitar pieces mixing strum/finger picking remind me of that period because of the hz layering. Early lute, counterpoint and all that stuff. cool music makes the brain work.

I fiddle with guitar some but not much time for it like I used to.
I was just exploring Zepp's "Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You."

A similar type of guitar picking.

I moved this to the Sails Call Lounge. Get more worthy attention.

How long have you been playing the flute? I started off with the clarinet when I was a kid. Moved to guitar later and also played the flute. It was during the Jethro Tull days so it was cool.

I've been told that some of my works has a little renaissance feel to it. I've always wanted to study and play the lute. More so the Theorbo than the lute. Fascinating instrument.

renaissance fee? Yes. You are tapping into that but I suspect that you can sit and improvise things by the hour.
At least w/guitar you don't spend your days tuning the strings.

playing here since '63 I picked up the guitar about 1969 and played some through H.S. I like blues and finger picking. but in Univ. I had to devote my time to "serious music"result.... B.M. in mus ed. (W/ perf. level lessons.) & M.M. Fl. perf.(W focus on Baroque Fl./Rec. and Electronic synthesized Music. )

Not entirely clear what the original post is referring to. Bilbo, you perform(ed) BWV 1013 on flute?
