Big bimini on the rail

I am thinking of installing a four-bow SS bimini on my 8.0C.

Do you think it will be too intrusive for the crew if I install it on the toe rail?

After sailing our 8.0c for a month now our bimini is quite intrusive when sailing making it difficult to move forward or aft because of the limited height. We've given up using it while sailing. Ours is installed on the toe rail.
