We have a little bit of temperature whiplash going on here. Snowed Thu afternoon, but didn't stick. Mid-60s tomorrow with rain, then a low of 25 Tue night.

"March the braggart stood in the seasons the door..." Robert Burns Wilson (I don't think it's Robert Burns of poetic fame)

Beyond the Caesar event:

In the earliest Roman calendar, the Ides of March would have been the first full moon of the new year.[2] As a fixed point in the month, the Ides accumulated functions set to occur every month, and was the day when debt payments and rents were due.

and was the day when debt payments and rents were due.

Probably the week after the tax collector stopped by. Unless you were a lord, then the tax collector paid you a visit the day after.

Central Texas: Yesterday's high was 95, this morning's low is 38. Makes getting dressed in the morning a game of russian roulette.

Wayne… You need to energize that inner diva and prepare an ensemble of layers to take you through the day, throwing off layers as the temperatures and moods change.
