Better use of cabinets

The pic below shows two of the cabinets in my boat. Each has nice volume. However, I can't think of a way to make better use of the space as these cabinets are tall and not too deep. Anyone have a good solution, maybe with a pic?

I think there could be better use of vertical space. Many of the items in there are less than half the height of the cabinet. Maybe if they are consolidated to one side there could be a shelf above them and room for more items. The other side could remain full height for the taller items.

If you take that aluminium tube out you gain nearly three inches in deepness, then stack whatever you store & they’re not so bad.

I would build a shelf at mid height or a bit higher. I would then remove the bar and install a thin wooden fiddle that was tight to the back of the cabinet face.
