Tonight we started the new Beta engine.It sounded great. It started
immediately.
The shifter was a bit off a fuss. The black knob for the transmission
had to be drilled out a bit so that I could get on the hair pin. It
would not push in enough. The red trottle side went on well.
Our Vega is completely stripped out. The installation was very easy.
I could easily lift one side of the engine to adjust the mounts and
install the bearers. I can imagine that would be difficult with all
the bulkheads in place. I had a gang to help me out but we could
easily done with just three. My son in law installs pool tables. The
engine appeared light.
Next weekend we will start to replace the interior. The light at the
end of the tunnel.
Does any one need a picture of anything while our Vega is stripped
out?
I was disappointed that Antonio did not get to Bermuda.... Drop by
