Best way to remove FlexiTeak adhesive.

Just got my new Plasideck teak pieces to replace all the old ones on the boat. Any recommendations on best way to get old adhesive off mounting surface?
heat gun, scraper? Acetone??

MEK, harsh stuff Methyl Ethyl Ketone but it will eat adhesive very quickly. Wear gloves!

Hi Jim. Consider Goo Gone brand adhesive remover for this task. I've used it many times and found it very effective and eco safe. Most big box home improvement centers carry it in a plastic spray bottle. It even dissolves gum.
