Best showering arrangements

Hello All

What’s your opinion on the best shower tap / shower rose arrangement?


I have two options in the two bathrooms. One, the water simply comes out like a host end (not ideal). Second option is, it involves pressing a little button on the head of the tap – gives the advantage of turning it on or off easily while showering.


I think the best option would be a detachable shower rose with a mounting for it on the wall.


Any opinions?

on our boat the teenagers would run out the whole hot water tank if it were not for the little 'press button' on the handheld shower head.

A "Navy" or "Boat" shower requires the "off" button because it's more like washing a dog than a human shower. You rinse, soap down, and rinse, uses about 1 gallon total, very unsatisfying, in fifty tears I've showered in the boat twice. I've used the shower on the swim step more often if there are no showers available on shore.

Mine has an on/off slide switch in the hand-held shower wand. What I prefer is to have a wall mounted shower head and a chain with a big ring on it, that you could pull to rinse. And, I'd like more that 42 total gallons of fresh water tankage, and more than 6 gallons of hot. Maybe someday.

"Best Shower Arrangement"? I have always been partial to an arrangement that includes a girlfriend. I assume it saves water but never bothered to quantify it. Was more concerned with developing Team Cohesiveness, and Esprit de Corps!

Is it true? Old guys showering in the cockpit are solo sailors.

My shower has an on/off button at the head. I think my tank would be empty real soon if I did not have it.
