Best sailing lake in the South east and why.

I have sailed most of the larger lakes of the s.e. Just curious what lakes are sailors favorite and why. Maybe a new lake I have not been to will thread up.

My fav lake would have to be Lake Lanier in Ga. Good lake area for sailing, lots of islands and sailboats to play with. Lake Murray of s.c would be my second pick. ????

The Tennessee river lakes are great. Guntersville, Wheeler ,Wilson and Pickwick. All sailable using the locks. Wheeler,wilson and Pickwick have little river between them. Guntersville had a 60 mile or so stretch of river on either side. But with a trailerable boat!!!

Did some googling onnthe area moonsailor, looks very interesting. What is it about the notion of unexplored geography, be it ever so humble, that get the brain salivating?!
