Best propeller for a Beta 14?

The propeller system we bought for the Beta 14 for my Vega is Danish, a two bladedFlexofold; item number 1308r 13x8 R bladeset in a 1” SAE 2 blade hub. Beautifully machined, has worked flawlessly in an area where lobster fishing bouys & lines abound.Price in 2012 was $1020, plus $40 shipping. Pricey but having tangled with lobster bouys here in Maine all my life, it is a relief to have had no more problems along that line, ie, when sailing the blades fold to a streamlined shape, much less drag...Their web site is @...from my pad nn

You can adjust the pitch until it perfectly matches the engine.

I have installed the Beta 14 with Technodrive 40 transmission with reduction 2:1 (it is essential to have this information together with engine and boat characteristics to define the prop size). As propeller I have purchased:-A Max-Prop feathering propeller with diameter 33 cm and about 20° pitch (which can easily be modified). This corresponds to about 13x9". Size suggested by the Max-Prop specialists.-A spare 3 blades fixed 12x9" as suggested by the Beta dealer
