Best location for solar vent

I have a C250 (2003). Moisture can sometimes be an issue. I have heard good things (mostly) about solar powered fans. If I decide to go that route what is the best location on the deck for a solar fan - balancing best ventilation and least obtrusiveness (don't want to be tripping over it all the time). I was thinking of right on the forward hatch cover. Feedback......?

I think a lot of folks mount them on the forward hatch cover. If I add one to our Capri 22 that's where it would go.

I am waiting for one I ordered to come in. I also thought of forward hatch, but on a C25 there is a pretty steep angle there and I wonder about water leaks if not mounted on a relatively flat surface

Forward hatch is the best place to mount the solar vent.
Don't worry about it being in the way. After a couple of hours out
on the boat you will never notice it. I think I have stepped on mine
several times. It is still there and working great.
I also have a 3" stainless steel solar/12v vent still in the box for sale.
Anyone interested?

I puzzled over placement for awhile and decided on about Half way between mast and hatch on center line....Catalina 25.
