Stock Ladder
I have the stock ladder that came new with the boat. My only comment is that the round metal bars that form the steps are tough on the feet when you're climbing into the boat. I suggest that you look for one that has wood or plastic steps.

Robspan, a while back, someone
posted a mod where they cut step treads out of starboard and screwed or bolted them to the rungs. The treads were about 4" deep, and were almost the width of the ladder so that they had a semicircular cutout on each end that fit around the vertical sides of the ladder. No reason they could be made of wood and added to the stock ladder. -Paul

Does the swim platform create any drag issues?
beamreach, Does the swim platform create any drag issues? Your platform is mounted lower than I thought it would be, but like I said I was waiting for another look in the water to decide the height. How do you like your mounting height?

No drag issues since the platform is mounted plenty high enough to clear the water when the boat is even heeled to starboard. They make this telescoping ladder in a four foot length if you wanted to mount your platform higher.
