Catalina 270 255 Wabamun. Welcome to the marina
We have the Nobletec app, and the 'pad is only wifi, so we got a DUAL xgps160 gps. Seems to work well through the testing thus far. Water is kinda white up here at the moment, so it's hard to say what it's like in the real world.

Depending on where you sail, the most important part is FINDING CHARTS. On non-great lakes, meaning inland lakes or rivers, often your only option will be Navionics or Garmin, who make their own charts. Others that use free NOAA charts are often coastal or great lakes only.

We have both Navionics and Garmin. Both work well here in sw Florida. We prefer Navionics. Also took IPad up into southern Illinois worked great on small private power company lake.

I like MX Mariner and NutiCharts. Both use NOAA chart downloads. NutiCharts links to Active Captain and their data downloads remain on the chart even when off line. I'm using Android.
