We are having our CAbin cushions redone, and were wondering about fabric choices. Does anybody out there have any recommendations either for or against a particular type of fabric?

Boltaflex vinyl is a good choice.

Two years ago I had my upholstery done in Boltaflex vinyl. It looks and feels like leather, but is easy to clean and is fairly durable. (My four kids have not been able to destroy it) The upholsterer needs to be knowledgable since the seams can sometimes tear out due to the strength of the material. It is a little more expensive, but I think well worth it. If vinyl is not your thing, then the line of sunbrella upholstery fabrics have worked well for several of my friends. Most important lesson I learned was to have a really good upholsterer and ask lots of questions. My job was redone no less than 4 times before I was satisfied with the workmanship.

Cushions

I assume you mean interior cushions...if so, Sunbrella is not necessary. Sunbrella would be great for the cockpit cushions. Go to a car upholstery shop, they can recommend suitable material. If you provide the old cushions for use as a pattern, they can make them for you.
