Hi Dave

We have a yank in the UK who has just bought a Vega here and he flew for
the Navy. His name is Pepper Constable, anyone know him across the pond?

THIS WOULD BE GREAT! My Vega is in Solomons Island MD. on the Patuxent
River, just off of the Chesapeake Bay. Right now it is on boatstands where
I am getting ready to put her back in the water soon. This week or next. I
purchased this boat on March 21. I have not sailed her yet. So much to do.
Anyway this is my plan. I am going to sail her this summer just getting to
know the boat, Next summer will be for fitting out and adjusting things. I
am planning on departing Solomons Island on or about 01 May 2004. I am a
retired Navy Chief and have access to the Patuxent River Naval Base Weather
Department. We will check the weather by the Satellite Photos to be certain
of clear Sailing. Once in Bermuda we will do the same for the return trip.
I have Two very good friends I was stationed with and flew with in the Navy

My plans for a Bermuda trip would be to depart on or about 01 May 2004,
thats two years from now. I just purchased my vega and have not even sailed
her yet. This summer will be learning about the boat. Next summer will be
for fitting out. I am enclosing a copy of the 3 letters that I sent to my
shipmates concerning this trip. Please review and tell me what you think.
I will provide you with all new letters. This past weekend I finished
painting the bottom and she is almost ready to go in the water.
