bad co

sorry for not knowing all the "wordage" but this is what I have , I noticed that the lines that run down the side of the mast that keep it up are in turn hooked to a turnbuckle and then to a "t" that mounts to the boat , these "t" fittings that screw into the turnbuckle look slightly bent are they supposed to be straight ?

Well, mine are straight. I can't imagine why they would be anything except straight because the design permits movement in all directions so they can't bind and bend.

Don't know if yours is a trailerable boat, but on my old trailerable, I bent the "tees" you are talking about. I managed to do that when putting the mast up.. The swivels will sometimes jam and bend the threaded part of the T.. Those can be replaced. Do not try to straighten them, just get with a good chandlry and buy some more.. The stainless will "work harden" and get brittle and eventually crack at a thread root. Get a couple of spares 'cause it may happen again.. If you aren't comfortable securing the mast while it is up, get a rigger to help. He can also tell you just from looking what size to buy. Good luck with it !
