While on the hard this winter, I was doing prop maintenance. I noticed when I turned the prop, the cutlass bearing moved with the prop shaft. Is this a problem to look into? I tried tightening the set screws, it do not seem to stop the movement.
Buz, it certainly sounds like it is time to change the bearing. It is not a big deal and if you are mechanically inclined you could probably do it your self. good luck charlie
