I have recently purchased a Clipper 311 and have the option of upgrading the genoa sheet winches to 40CSTO from 30CSTO - is this worth doing? Any ideas also on the most appropriate tiller pilot?
Julian; I would highly recommend you upgrade to a bigger, more powerful winch. I have a Bene 40 with Lewmar 48s and wish the genoa winches were bigger. After a few upwind tacks, cranking in the big genny can get tiresome. Get the biggest winch you can.
