I'm down to two boats... a nicely rigged out 305 or a newer, but not as nicely rigged 32S5. Both these boats are 20 years old , or close to it already. The 305 has up to date electronics (5000$ worth) and nice sails (carbon), the 32 has a lot less electronics and older sails but a newer hull. This is my first boat and I live in an area where blue water sailing is the only option. Don't get me wrong I race frequently, and I have done some deliveries along the East coast....so I'm not a noob. I would like to get your reviews on both these boats from a racer/cruiser and ocean keeping ability. I'm planning on keeping this boat till the kids grow and go so my wife and I can go south in a larger boat (20 years).... in that light, which of these is a better all round boat? Thanks
