Beneteau Moorings 38 Starboard Water Tank Leaking

I've found that the starboard water tank beneath the saloon settee is not holding water. It's a 35 gallon tank, original to my 1990 Beneteau Moorings 38. I believe the water fill and pickup are internal, which leads me to believe that the tank itself, rather than in- or out-bound hoses, is leaking. Has anyone ever encountered this before? Is it possible, assuming that I can find the leak, to patch the take material? Suggestions for patching compound (JB Weld comes to mind)?

Thanks, in advance, for any guidance.

On the outside chance you are still monitoring this.... I have the same boat, and yes, the tank can be repaired if you find a crack. It's a "welding" process for whatever the tank is made of. I had work done to shorten the starboard tank for an A/C compressor. 10 years later the tank is fine.
