Invitation to all Beneteau owners: You are cordially invited to attend and participate in the first annual Club Beneteau of Florida state wide rendezvous. This inaugural state wide Rendezvous will be held this year at Marina Del Mar in Key Largo, Florida. Key Largo Resorts & Marina is located at Mile Marker 100, Oceanside in Key Largo Florida. Rendezvous is scheduled for the weekend of March 18, 19, 20, 2005. Beneteau USA representatives, Dealer support, special guest speakers, workshops, demos, in addition to the fun, sun & games will make this a memorable and not to be missed statewide Beneteau Rendezvous! Free-Bees, Door Prizes, Hats, Burgees, Tee-Shirts etc… We now need to know how many will be attending, how many want to tie up in a slip at the resort? Slips & rooms will be available on a first come, first served basis! We do need to know how many Beneteau owners & guests will be attending and needing hotel room/s, slips, etc.? Of course staying at the resort is not required, you can make any arrangements you wish, but please you must let us know that you plan to attend! (This is considered peak season) Marina Del Mar has very nice facilities, such as but not limited to; dock space with utilities, (although dock space is very limited), hotel rooms, meeting room/s, bar, restaurant, Tiki Hut area, swimming pool and other resort amenities are available. For those not familiar with this resort, it has three separate hotels around the marina. When staying at the Marina, we will have access to 4 pools, 3 Jacuzzis, 2 fitness centers, tennis courts, shower and laundry facilities and continental breakfast for anyone staying on their boat. Additional amenities… Broadband Internet access, wireless Internet access, safety deposit box, wake up calls, gift shop, copy/fax service, printer available, Massage Therapist, vending machines, ice machines. http://www.marinadelmar.com http://www.marinadelmarkeylargo.com/index.htm The Question now on the table is how many sailors will want to take dockage or rooms there? Confirmations for slips & rooms must be in by January 15, 2005 -- Or the slips WILL BE GONE! Slips are currently available with actual beam sizes ranging from 12’6” to 22’ but with very limited numbers of larger beam sized slips. It is a first come, first served as far as slips go. A reduced group rate will be given to us of $2.50 per/ft. plus the $9.00 facility service fee. Slips have dbl. 30 amp service, with one or two with one 30 and one 50 amp. Water and CATV is also at each slip. If you are taking a hotel room and a slip the $9.00 facility fee is waived. I have held all available slips with a deposit so let me know ASAP on your slip requirements before they are gone. If you want a slip I will need to have your boat length and beam width etc. Please coordinate with us do not call the marina just yet…(thanks). Remember I have all available slips. A great alternative for those not wanting to dock in the marina would be to anchor out or raft up at Rodriquez Key (a mile or so away) and dingy into Marina Del Mar. If many of us choose this alternative, our Fleet Captain believes he would be able to set up a special (local) tender service to shuttle us back and forth as needed. He will also determine the best location to set anchor as we move closer to our rendezvous. Hotel rooms are available for those that can not sail in or will sail in & want a room too… Hotel rooms are being priced at a special group rate for our rendezvous at: Marina Del Mar - $159.00 standard view Ramada - $179.00 standard view Holiday Inn - $239.00 standard view Automobile parking is free for all attendees that will be driving in from throughout the state. Parties and/or meetings could be held at the Tiki Hut located at the resort, there is a restaurant & bar named Coconuts that overlooks the marina, it has good food and there are various meeting rooms if we want to be inside for guest speakers, show and tell, etc. Many other activities abound in the Key Largo area, scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, small boat rentals, glass bottom boat, casino cruise, parasailing, you name it’s there…. Of course, the famous laid back “Keys” atmosphere is always there too! Schedule of events may look something like this: Friday evening welcome cocktail party & Hors d'oeuvres, then dinner -- Saturday morning; breakfast, guest speakers, workshops, Sat. afternoon; lunch, fun, games, activities, mini private boat show with dealer boat/s. Sat. evening; party and dinner, presentations, Sunday morning check out, sail out or stay for as long as you like. I look forward to your confirmations in the near future. Remember – we have only a couple of weeks to book rooms and they along with slips will go fast. Send your confirmations to js2@adelphia.net If you have any questions or comments please do not hesitate to contact me directly via email or at: 305-495-2300. js2@adelpha.net QUESTIONS: Are you going to attend?
