I am looking at a 1984 Beneteau First 29 that is in good overall shape but needs a lot of clean up and TLC. the price reflects the shabby interior condition. I want a boat for cruising with family and friends (3-4 at a time). I also would like a fast boat and performs well. There isn't much on the F29. Can anyone offer insight about this model and point me to some reviews or other material? Thank you.

Great Boat

My sailing buddy purchased a similar boat 12 months ago and he and everyone that goes on her loves her. She was a similar age and condition but he's put some elbow grease into her and fitted her with new sails and she looks and sails great. I have a B361 and he doesn't have too much trouble keeping up with me in most conditions. The only things he complains about are lack of headroom (he's 6'2"), no hot shower and no fridge. As a sailboat tho' you wouldn't go wrong.
