No question here, just a comment. My wife and I were on an East Coast driving vacation last week and spent some time in Myrtle Beach N.C. Beneteau USA is about an hour from Myrtle Beach and as Midwestern owners of a Beneteau OC 281, I thought it would be interesting to see how Beneteau built boats.I called the plant and they said that they needed about 3 days to schedule a tour and we made an appointment. We were accompanied on the tour by a couple from Canada who had flown in to see their new 473 under construction.Ward R. a Beneteau customer service representative escorted us through the plant and was able to answer all our questions. It was absolutely fascinating to watch new boats being built from the first layer of gelcote on a mold through the construction/installation of galleys, heads, bulkheads etc. to the finished products ready to load on trucks for delivery. We really got a feeling of the Beneteau quality and would urge anyone who may get into the Marion S. C. area to contact Beneteau about a tour. Thanks to Beneteau for taking the time to show us around.
