BENETEAU ANTARES 12

I HAVE JUST PURCHASED A 2007 BENETEAU 12 ANTARES AND HAVE EXPERIENCED A BAD ODOUR INSIDE THE BOAT WHEN EMPTING THE HOLDING TANK RECENTLY, ALSO I WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT WHETHER OR NOT THE 2ND HEAD IS A DIRECT DISCHARGE OR DOES IT HAVE A HOLDING TANK?
I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELPFUL HINTS OR PROCEDURES INCASE I'M AM DISCHARGING INCORRECTLY.

Looks like your a powerboat have you looked at your owners manual and if you don't have one try the beny site they may have one that you can download.

Don't know how your heads are plumbed, but as leo points out the owners owner's manual should show that. As for the odors, there are many possible causes, but Peggie Hall's book, available at http://shop.sailboatowners.com/prod.php?53615 comes highly recommended for those issues .

She looks comfortable, but she needs a replacement mast, maybe two? 'Cause, with that deck house, she looks like she may be a ketch or yawl rig to balance her helm.

What I've learned about the regs around human waste is, there are local and/or state codes to be followed. In general, dumping of human waste is not allowed within 3 miles of shore unless it goes directly from tushy to ocean, no container, such as a toilet or holding tank, in between. Therefore, a direct flush head is unusable near shore.
Do a search on posts by Peggy Hall Headmistress, she is the guru of dodo, the sensation of sanitation, the Royal of flush.
Your new boat is a beauty and a little odd for these waters, but welcome to our forum, you'll find answers to most of your questions. These guys know stuff.

I WILL TRY AGAIN TO LOOK THROUGH THE MANUALS THAT CAME WITH THE BOAT BUT I CAN ONLY FIND ONE HOLDING TANK AND ONLY ONE LINE TO IT.
THAT LEADS ME TO THINK ONE GOES TO A HOLDING TANK AND ONE GOES DIRECT OVERBOARD.

IS THERE EXIST ANY WAY TO KNOW WHETHER THE HOLDING TANK IS FULL OR NOT BEFORE IT BECOMES TO LATE?

You may have a tank gauge or level monitor, as you holding tank you may only have one and both heads go to it.

It is a real bugger trying to find any manuals for the Beneteau Antares 12, I did find a brochure on the 42 and it states that there is port and starboard heads each with their own tank, 21 gals and 13 gals respectively.
