Beneteau 50 Poole
Hi, We have just purchased a 2002 Beneteau 50 fitted with a Volvo diesel and twin fuel tanks in each of the stern cabins. We cannot figure out how the fuel supply is switched between the tanks, as one is showing nearly full and the other only 1/4 full. The Beneteau boat manual only shows a fuel cut off valve on the port tank and no other valves. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Tony

It's not surprising

there's no info for that. Have you tried tracing out the fuel line? It could be a manually activated T valve near the engine, before the filters in the stream, or it might even be an electrically activiated valve, located near the helm station. Look for a labeled switch near the helm, or any switch that's not labeled and doesn't control anything obvious. There might also be a switch on the DC control panel, labeled TANK 1/TANK 2, or something. Ask some of your more experienced dock neighbors.

Contact Beneteau if you can't trace them

I agree with Larry and would trace the lines back from the engine to the tanks. You'll discover a lot about your boat by doing so. If that fails then I'd contact Beneteau. There should be someone that can answer your question.
