Comparison
Based on my experience with our Hunter 460, the Hunter and Beneteau 473 are similar in performance. (The Beneteau 461 is probably a bit faster). We selected the Hunter because of the Lead vs iron keel, the deck to hull seam design, a deep sump vs the shallow sump in the Beneteau, and the fact that the Hunter appeared easier to sail with the small jib. I was also more familiar with the components on the Hunter such as Harken travellers, Edson steering, Yanmar engines and the winches and hatches are on the Hunter. The Hunter also appears to have more storage. The 466 also add kevlar in the hull. I'm sure you will be happy with either one.
