Beneteau 47.3 or Bavaria 47

As the prices of Hunters are getting higher and higher, all of the sudden the Beneteau 47.3 and others seem more affordable. I have seen B47.3 late models (2001 and up) for around 200K asking price and late model Bavaria's below 200K. What do you think? What is going on with prices? Is quality an issue with those models?

I looked at teh Bavarias twice and both times I was disappointed with the interior jointery. The edges of the plywood did not line up and gave me the impression of cheap material and factory fit. Just my humble opinion. I am jsut as sure that there are Bavaria owners out there who will swear by their boats. I, personally, was not impressed. The same may be said for newer Hunters and Beneteaus, but I have not seen them. My boat is a '92 Legend 43 and I think that Hunter did an exquisite job on mine...others may disagree. Art

Gotta love a Bavaria

I found the Bavaria interiors very nice-simple but elegant. We even chartered a Bavaria 41 through Horizon Charters thinking that maybe..just maybe..someday... And for what its worth she sailed like a dream and was very comfortable. Sure, its not a Swan but I think its a notch about the Hunters and Beneteaus.
