1) any experience w/ companionway, installing doors rather than the stock sliding door
that rides on the hatch? (2014)
2) no splash board on sink-- what have you done.
3) any pictures of port hanging locker in lieu of vanity in V -berth?

We had our dealer's canvas guy cut us a piece of sunbrella to hang in the companionway. It snaps onto the end of the top slider and has a weighted dowel sewn in to hold the bottom down. This way when you're going up and down the steps a lot you just flip the canvas out of the way and push the top slider open. Makes it easy to keep the air conditioned air inside without dealing with having to open and close the vertical glass from the inside.

I have the same set up. It worked very well. In the summer, I use that to cover the plexiglass top hatch and in the winter, I use it to further keep the wind out.

B37 I understand the canvas in companionway.
My question is with the "drop" door (that rides on
the hatch) vs "gate doors" in the companionway.
Thks for any comments!

I installed doors from Zarcor.com on my 473. They have the measurements for many boats, or they'll provide instructions for you to take measurements.

The doors install outside of your hatch board track. They're removable so you can put the hatch boards back in during heavy weather.

I have both the dark tinted plexiglass inserts and the screens.

After two years, they're still like new.

Not sure what comes on a 37 or exactly what you are looking for.
I built my own "gate" doors for my 343. As mentioned above they mount on the face so you can still drop the hatch boards in.
About 6 ft of 1 x 6 nominal teak, ripped to the width I needed, a piece of tinted plexiglas from Tap and some take apart hinges. Pieces are joined with biscuits and glue. Glas fits in a recess on the inner face and is attached with clear silicon adhesive caulk and #4 screws with washers.
I built a set from cheaper wood first to see how everything fit. Less than $100 in parts.

IIRC, SBO still list them once in a while in the right-hand "sale" column on the opening page. They should be in the chandlery, too.
