Beneteau 37 Cockpit water leak

On a B 37 (2014). Issue w/ water (rain or sea) running into cockpit from forward of
dodger. It comes under alum. frame for companion way sliding door. Tried putting
a snap canvas cover over sky light forward of dodger. I put in West Marine deck mats (12x12
squares)on cockpit floor so not to track around in water. That seems to work.
Must be poor design. My 36CC never did that. I did put in Zarcor doors (nice addition),
but that has nothing to do w/ water stream coming under sliding door track.
Thks for any comments on the Beneteau 37

Our 37 does the same thing. I never really thought of it as a problem, since the cockpit is still the exterior, but you're right that if you keep the cockpit enclosed enough to stay dry, water will still get on the floor that way.

This is an issue on our 37 as well and did consider a cover, but realised the water can still get in where the hatch cover attaches to the cabin top. I've been thinking about attaching small (teak?)gutters to catch the water and run it over to the coaming. This would involve sealing the end caps of the hatch runners and attaching the gutters to the bulkhead. I don't want to do anything that's not reversible which means no screws. That's when I stopped thinking about it.

I would be nice not to have wet feet under the dodger and Bimini when it's raining.

Would a bead of silicon for a gutter (for a start) direct water away?

Good idea w/ bead of silicone, but as I don't know
exactly where water leak starts I wouldn't know
where to apply it.

Just picked our 2016 B37 (hull 214) a couple of months ago from AYS. Have to report no change in this issue. Drains into cockpit but not always onto deck. Drains onto cockpit seats and cushions as well. Let you all know if I come up with a fix.

I have another bigger wet floor issue I wanted to throw out there. The water in the (25"x55") head floor after taking shower is draining away from the floor drain. Drain is a toward the aft and water pools toward the bow. PITA having to constantly squeegee the water to the drain. This still happens with forward water tanks empty.
I have a small punch list that AYS is going to take care of, but I dont think there is any quick fix for this.
Any suggestions?

In regards to B37 cockpit leak,
I used West Marine Dri Dek
12x12" mats for cockpit. Keeps
feet dry til solution is found.
I haven't noticed shower drain
issue.

My 37 shower does drain well into the aft drain. I have seen this issue on another brand of yacht. I'd be tempted to have the drain shifted to the low point.

Having the hatch, sky light forward of it and the hand rail 'crease' drain into the cockpit is a design decision that the designers have made. They must have thought about this, but I don't think they made the right call. It could be they thought people wouldn't want dry closed in cockpits.

I think it would be easily fixed with an open gutter (made of teak?) attached to the bulkhead and draining out to the combing, I just haven't got around to this project yet.
