Have a 2003 Oceanis 361, in which the water heater has stopped functioning with the following issues: initially heats up, as felt on the supply hose to the head, then after a few minutes a buzzing sound comes from the navigation control panel and the water ceases to heat further.

Probably a bad contact behind the control panel. Make sure the wire makes a good contact with the breaker. You must have a loose connection, check also the ground. You might also want to try our a different breaker. Has the heater stopped functioning completely or does it start to heat then stop? Normally I would check the voltage at the heating element, check the heating element resistance but the buzzing suggest a bad breaker or connection. Hope this will help.

hmmm a buzzing sound does not sound good. You might want to have a pro look at this if you are not familiar with trouble shooting AC electrical faults. I would leave it turned off until you know what is going on.

+1. Absolutely agree. AC scares me, but it's probably just me....

Well, do you have to reset the CB to use it further? Maybe the buzz is an actual electric indicator the hi-temp shutoff (thermostat)on the water heater has operated?
