Has anybody ever removed the stanchion bases from a Beneteau 361? I need to fix the fiberglass just below them (the aluminium base was pushed into it) but the access to the nut inside the boat is nearly impossible.
I've been going around tightening the stanchion nuts up a bit where I can on our 331 (which I assume has the same stanchions), and definitely some are merely difficult and others virtually impossible without removing some cabinetry. The stanchion nut size is apparently 22mm (about 7/8"). I'm going to try an offset socket next time I go.
