We seem to be a few Beneteau 361 owners around here, so how about “helping each other” by writing about a few modifications or additions we did on our boat? To start with:
- Upgraded lewmar winches (in fact I found them factory installed when I bought the boat secondhand). Two 40 size at coachroof and two 46 size for genoa. Even my kids can use them easily!
- 2 additional deck stoppers on coachroof on the starboard size so all lines (incl. spinnaker halyard, uphaul and downhaul) are led back to the cockpit. I now have 6 on the port side and 5 on the starboard size.
- 1000 watt lofrans electric windlass and 60m of 10mm chain rode
- Nasa BM1 battery monitor. Very simple and nice way to see what amp you are consuming
- Semi-permanent (meaning I have a deck plug somewhere) 45watt solar panel
- Genoa trucks control ends so I can adjust the cars from the cockpit. That was a simple but very useful addition.
- Raymarine linear type 1 autopilot (SPX10 and ST6002)
