Beneteau 361 -2000

I have a 361,Beneteau 2000,,
I have two questions..... easy for some but not for me.
1) My Lewmar windlass stopped... i think the fuse blue out... but i dont know where the fuse is.... i found a 3 amp fuse in the engine area and it is ok.... so its gotta be someplace else... Where ???
2) i have a Jensen Radio MCD5050 i cant seem to pick up station 560 KSFO in San-Francisco im just across the bay... it can get other stations but not 560 any info or help on that... would appreciate it.... Thankx....PN

I installed a lewmar vertical windlass in my 343 two years ago. There is an inline fuse in the forepeak inside the cabin where the windlass motor & solenoid is mounted. There should be a wooden panel present, unscrew it and check it out.

Have you checked that fuse (or switch whatever is called; see the photo) where the three (two red and one black) switches are? Could be simply that.

On our 361 the breaker for windlass is on the front of the starboard side bunk. The breaker should be somewhere close to the batteries and high amp. Id expect it to look like this:

Not sure if windlass were factory installed with the boats so maybe locations will differ depending on installer. We also have a two cabin layout, if you have 3 it might be a different arrangement as well.

As far as radio, not sure what could be causing that but I know where our boat is I barely get signal fro any radio, just out a bit reception is stellar. Maybe local variation could account for it.

There is a circuit breaker on a bulkhead in close proximity to the ship's battery that provides power to the windlass. It will be rated in the 80 to 90 amp range. The 3 amp fuse you found protects the windlass control switch/remote. Find and procure a Beneteau owners manual specific to your boat.

Actually this is a reading light (same in all 3 cabins) that was fitted by the Beneteau factory in France.

Well done Beneteau! It's a great idea as that area on ours is a pitch black and I'm tired of wearing headlamp, or chewing on my Maglite, when changing filters. Thanks!

Hello guys,

I have a 3 cabins Oceanis Clipper 36.1 and I am not able to find the breaker of windlass (or even if there is any...)

Windlass stopped and I would like to check first electrical connection before checking mechanical stuff.

Picture are appreciatted if possible...

My windlass won't run unless the engine is running. This fact flummoxed me the first time I tried it.
