I'm very interested in the new beneteau 323. I would appreciate any comments/feedback about this sailboat. Also would like to know if it's best to order with or without the in-mast furler? Thank you J-P

Same Interest

...my interest in the 323 has taken me to several on board sessions with dealers...I find it is not cheap as roller furling is extra, as is below deck auto pilot (due to new wheel), etc...I have read all the reviews which are positive (of course) but have not talked to any owners...I hope several of them will give us their views...And, thanks for asking the question.

I purchased my 323 in Annapolis last fall and received it this spring. This is my first sailboat and have found it easy to manage and extremely fast. My wife was sold on it because of the huge head area. Great Hudson Sailing was wonderful to deal with and all instructors were professional and patient. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

SandyJ brought a good point. With that rotating wheel on the 323 I didn't realise that this boat needs a below deck auto-pilot. However the price I was given includes the auto-pilot. I'll ask my dealer about that. Craig Brown: you wrote your Beneteau 323 is very fast. I'd like to know if yours came with the in-mast furler. Thanks J-P
