I'm new to sailing but I love my First 285 which is very very similar. It's pretty easy to single hand, too. If you can find one with the v-berth open, it makes a huge difference in interior space. I'm about 5'10" or so and can stand up in the cabin. Mine also has a tiller which definitely opens up the cockpit vs a wheel. I thought the wheel was too big for the cockpit. I've also only seen the traveler above the companion way which I like because it also keeps the cockpit clear. These come with lots of racing options, big sails, and all lines lead to aft. It's fast and very responsive. Mine does not have a key for the engine or a fuel gauge so I just keep it topped off most if the time. She is a stunning boat. If you get lucky you may find one with a trailer. Good luck!
