Hi all, My very first post and looking forward to the forum
After a couple of years abandonment my fuel finally became jelly. After a throrough cleaning, lines and fuel filter she won't start. The filter was in bad shape and even some rust.
I would say fuel is getting in since puffs of fuel pass out the exhaust. We have sprayed ether directly in the intake.
Short of pulling the injector, my mechanic believes the engine is lacking sufficient compression due to stuck ring or valve. It feels like it is lacking compression but it always did.
So the diagnosis is to pull the engine, disassemble and sort the compression to the tune of $1500.
Any comments or observations or similar circumstances?
Thanks
