My aft water tank has a dip/pickup tube that extends from the top of the water tank to the bottom. The tube seems to be made of very thin copper and it started to crumble near the bottom of the tank so once the tank get less then half empty the pump starts sucking air. Has anybody had to replace theirs? I check the online Beneteau parts USA and didn't find anything. The only parts diagram looks like a hot water heater.

Thanks,
Mike

My aluminum pick up pipe became porous after 35 years or so. It was not easily replaced so I used the new access port I had cut in and cut off all but the top 2" of the pick up tube. I then slipped a PVC hose over the stub and attached it with a hose clamp. Has worked fine ever since. You will discover that the majority of the deterioration is on the lower end of your old tube.
