Hello O'Day owners,Friends and I have resurrected an abandoned O'Day Ospray of the pre 1980's vintage. We did some minor hull repair, and ordered new sails [unfortunately, we ordered "DaySailor" sails [145 sq ft] rather than the correct Ospray sails [125 squ ft], but we are correcting that mistake with a return/exchange.However, the mast was bending markedly, even in fairly light breezes. While we know some of the bending is from overpowered sails, it still seemed to be extreme.1. Is bending both to leeward and aft normal on the Ospray? Or, should we assume the aluminum mast may have lost any original stiffness? 2. Should we be considering adding jumper stays to stiffen it?3. Does anyone if the Ospray mast was a rotating mast? Our deck hole was broken, and larger than the mast diameter...so we're wondering if it was intended to rotate. Thanks for the help!
