Bellingham Restaurant

Try Sensa Resturant right by San Juan Sailing at Squalicum Harbor. Great seafood chowder for a starter.

Here are several recommendations...

Bob, An always good restaurant is the Cliff House which overlooks Bellingham Bay. Great steaks and at this time of year, probably fresh halibut from Alaska. Excellent service. 360.734.8860. Excellent wine list Right on the water is the Harborside Bistro and Lounge. Costly but well worth it--in the Bellwether Hotel. 360.392.3200. Good martinis and outstanding wine list. The owner is from Turkey and knows both European and American wines. Also on the waterfront is Anthony's Home Port, a member of the chain of fresh fish restaurants in the northwest. Popular with the locals. Fair wine list. 360.647.5586. Another local favorite is Dirty Dan Harris in Fairhaven, a southern part of Bellingham with good steaks and fish. Excellent service and food. Good wine list as well. 360.676.1011 If you have access to a car, you could try my personal favorite, Oyster Creek Inn, south of Bellingham situated on a cliff and a creek on Chuckanut Drive. 360.766.6176. Outstanding wine list. Small and romantic. Great service. Oh, yes, fresh oysters most of the time. The oyster farm is just nearby. I hope this helps. You just made me hungry again after dinner.
