We are planning a trip from SW Fl to Belize via Isla Mujeres. Looking for any advise as to routes across the Gulf for maximum comfort, not speed. Have read some about the merits of going south to Cuba and then west. Also have read a report that suggests heading west immediately until across the northerly flowing current and then south. Any thoughts would be appretiated with the prime thought of avoiding heavy seas caused by the currents, both there and back. Thanks, Mike Busher, mjbusher@aol.com
