@SailingLoto makes many of us green with envy because of how quickly he can make an abandoned boat look better than most of our own boats!

@Ken13559 - Spray Nine is my new favorite cleaner. It's impressive how well it works. Autozone sells it for a reasonable price

Try Totally Awesome. It's like $6.50 a gallon at Dollar General. Cut it with a bit of water. It cleans about anything. DG also sell these blue Mr Clean tile scrubbers. They don't scratch, but do a great job cleaning off mold/algae growth and scrubbing non skid clean. The hull sides and waterline on this boat were terrible. 3 gallons of muratic acid and $15 one gallon pump sprayer took all the stains and mineral deposits off.

I don't know about how quickly I clean them up, but I have about 30 hours of just scrubbing on this one.

Here she is with her mast on the dock roof getting a new main halyard, topping lift, masthead light, and spreader boots.

She was barely ever sailed. That's a brand new genoa from 1989. The sail cover was still wrapped in plastic.

We've sailed her 3 times now, 1 race day. We placed 3rd twice , 2nd once.

I still need to do a lot of maintenance and cleanup, make new cushions, and give her a bottom job. She's quite blistered from sitting so long.

All in all, she sails quite well, and cleaned up good enough for now. Not bad for a $500 boat.

Good job! Appears that you’ve found a diamond in the rough. Have you done the @Maine Sail restoration (compounding/polishing/waxing) on the topsides yet?
