The before and after looks fantastic!! Where did you buy that elbow grease? I should buy some too!Just waiting to get her home to clean the rest and get her rigged.
Anchor locker drain hose had failed and filled the forward locker with water. Otherwise just a couple inches in the bilge and bit here and there in the lockers. She looked pretty down in the bow in the before. Was there water inside?
Try Totally Awesome. It's like $6.50 a gallon at Dollar General. Cut it with a bit of water. It cleans about anything. DG also sell these blue Mr Clean tile scrubbers. They don't scratch, but do a great job cleaning off mold/algae growth and scrubbing non skid clean. The hull sides and waterline on this boat were terrible. 3 gallons of muratic acid and $15 one gallon pump sprayer took all the stains and mineral deposits off.@SailingLoto makes many of us green with envy because of how quickly he can make an abandoned boat look better than most of our own boats!
@Ken13559 - Spray Nine is my new favorite cleaner. It's impressive how well it works. Autozone sells it for a reasonable price
No, that will happen when I pull her out to do the bottom. She needs some love down there.... until then we will sail and enjoy her.Good job! Appears that you’ve found a diamond in the rough. Have you done the @Maine Sail restoration (compounding/polishing/waxing) on the topsides yet?
